Fiji Zipline – General Information!

E-mail Print PDF
In the heart of the tropical rainforest, just minutes from Pacific Harbour Fiji’s ‘Adventure Capital’, lies ZIP FIJI's private eco-reserve – a biological paradise! Our highly-trained guides help you use special equipment and techniques to experience this amazing wilderness from a unique perspective. Feel the rush of adrenalin as you WHOOSH over eight zip lines high above the forest floor and the Wainadoi River valley. Enjoy a classic ‘canopy tour’ with stunning views and thrilling rides while you experience our distinctive flora and fauna and local culture accompanied by our English-speaking native guides.

The zipline adventure is located near the village of Wainadoi about half an hour from Pacific Harbour and about two and a half hours from the international airport at Nadi, on Viti Levu (Fiji’s largest island).

We have scheduled group tours daily (including Sunday) year ‘round, at 9:30 am, 11:00 am and 2:30 pm. The tour lasts about two hours, depending on the size and needs of the group.

The tour operates in all weather conditions except when there is lightning overhead, high winds or especially-heavy rain. Usually, we only wait a short time until conditions improve; however if we are unable to do the tour within a reasonable time, we will reschedule you for a later time. Keep in mind that the tour is located in a RAINforest and so a little ‘liquid sunshine’ is to be expected but we don’t let it dampen our fun!

What to Wear and Bring

Wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting a little dirty or wet and that will not interfere with the adjustment of the harness or helmet. Most of our guests do the tour in shorts, T-shirt and running shoes; skirts, dresses and bathing suits are not appropriate. Closed-toe sport shoes provide the best protection for your feet however strap-on sandals are acceptable; you may not do the tour in bare feet.
Bring your camera, bottled water and insect repellent with you to the tour site. As it rains periodically throughout the day, you may want to bring a lightweight poncho or jacket or a change of clothing. Please bring a hair tie if you have long hair.

We don’t recommend that you take your belongings with you on the elements since they can interfere with the equipment and you risk losing them, so we have storage area for small items at the tour site. Nevertheless you may if you wish carry a small shoulder bag, backpack or bum bag with you provided you understand that anything you take must be carried by you throughout the entire tour in a way that leaves both hands free. Please bear in mind that we are not responsible for loss or damage to personal property and we cannot recover items that are dropped from the tour elements.
